{"id":1151,"date":"2014-05-13T11:18:57","date_gmt":"2014-05-13T16:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/?p=1151"},"modified":"2014-05-16T17:00:03","modified_gmt":"2014-05-16T22:00:03","slug":"love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/?p=1151","title":{"rendered":"Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<a href=\"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Fam-crop.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1156\" src=\"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Fam-crop.jpg\" alt=\"Fam crop\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Fam-crop.jpg 604w, https:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Fam-crop-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Last weekend I attended the marriage of my sister-in-law.\u00a0 The wedding brought together a good part of my family.<\/p>\n<p>I looked around and there were all shapes and sizes of Johnsons and Batelaans and Coles and Blumbergs.<\/p>\n<p>They came from Asia, Europe, Africa and America.\u00a0 There were brown, black and white folk.\u00a0 Some were affluent, others financially struggling.\u00a0 There were Christians, Jews, and atheists along with a healthy group of people who are still figuring that one out.\u00a0 Some were outgoing and talkative.\u00a0 Others shy and laconic.\u00a0 Young.\u00a0 Old.\u00a0 All shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n<p>It was an amazingly disparate group.\u00a0 But at the same time one of the most united I\u2019ve seen.<\/p>\n<p>And yes.\u00a0 The uniting force is love.<\/p>\n<p>And it is not just children who love their parents and parents who love their children (which seems to be increasingly rare).\u00a0 But it is love that goes beyond beliefs and lifestyles and personalities.\u00a0 A love that goes beyond any expectations of benefits.\u00a0 Love beyond obligation.<\/p>\n<p>Just \u2026 love.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that is the world God wanted when He created it.<\/p>\n<p>And I smile because God\u2019s blessed me with a tiny but delicious morsel of just that with my family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last weekend I attended the marriage of my sister-in-law.\u00a0 The wedding brought together a good part of my family.
