{"id":331,"date":"2009-04-20T18:58:48","date_gmt":"2009-04-21T01:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/?p=331"},"modified":"2009-05-11T16:59:55","modified_gmt":"2009-05-11T23:59:55","slug":"what-letter-is-your-recovery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/?p=331","title":{"rendered":"What Letter is Your Recovery?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just when you thought you were out of the worst of it &#8230; Bam!\u00a0 Another 200+ point drop.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m telling you this economic stuff is driving folks crazy.<\/p>\n<p>One of my favorite subjects of discussion is what &#8220;letter&#8221; the economy will resemble over the coming months.\u00a0 This has been the focus of discussion of everyone from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bulletin.aarp.org\/yourmoney\/personalfinance\/articles\/economic_recovery_we_re_in_alphabet_soup.html\" target=\"_blank\">AARP<\/a><\/strong> to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/122240-alphabet-soup-are-we-in-an-l-v-or-m-shaped-recession\" target=\"_blank\">SeekingAlpha <\/a><\/strong>to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogs.com\/2009\/04\/07\/economic-recovery-summer-of-l-u-v.html\" target=\"_blank\">Blogs.com<\/a><\/strong> to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mutualfundsmarts.blogspot.com\/2009\/04\/v-for-victory-or-vvv-for-surreal.html\" target=\"_blank\">MutualFundSmarts<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft alignnone\" style=\"float: left; margin: 8px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.newwest.net\/images\/gallery\/featuredimages_03_07\/03_29_07_alphabet_soup.jpg\" alt=\"Letters\" width=\"212\" height=\"174\" \/>First, there is the &#8220;V&#8221; shaped recovery.\u00a0 The one we all want.\u00a0 Straight down and straight up.<\/p>\n<p>Then there is the &#8220;U&#8221; shaped recovery.\u00a0 The one more likely.\u00a0 Straight down, suffer for awhile, and then go back up.<\/p>\n<p>Now comes the really bad letters of the alphabet.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;W&#8221; shaped recovery.\u00a0 As if we haven&#8217;t had enough of Ws already.\u00a0 Sort of a bipolar recovery.\u00a0 You go broke.\u00a0 Make money.\u00a0 Go broke again.\u00a0 Make money.\u00a0 Suffer. Enjoy.\u00a0 Suffer.\u00a0 Enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Finally there is the dreaded &#8220;L&#8221; shaped recovery.\u00a0 You decend into hell and stay there.\u00a0 Hopefully over time you&#8217;ll learn to enjoy it.<\/p>\n<p>We need a new monogram.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just when you thought you were out of the worst of it &#8230; Bam!\u00a0 Another 200+ point drop.
