{"id":575,"date":"2010-06-02T05:58:50","date_gmt":"2010-06-02T12:58:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/?p=575"},"modified":"2010-06-02T06:05:24","modified_gmt":"2010-06-02T13:05:24","slug":"it-is-about-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/?p=575","title":{"rendered":"It is about time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>40 years.<\/p>\n<p>That was what impressed me.<\/p>\n<p>After 40 years of marriage people separate.\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 That is a long time to be together only to &#8216;grow apart&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not judging.\u00a0 I&#8217;m just observing.<\/p>\n<p>Time can heal.\u00a0 But clearly time can also divide.\u00a0 Time can make things better and draw people closer.\u00a0 And time can erode, dull, and deaden your senses and your passion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Al_Gore_Tipper_Gore.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-576\" style=\"margin: 8px;\" title=\"Al_Gore_Tipper_Gore\" src=\"http:\/\/jerrysjuicebar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Al_Gore_Tipper_Gore.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"141\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>I think about the people I know and the clients that I work with.\u00a0 I think about what time is doing to them.<\/p>\n<p>For some, it is building them up, making them stronger.\u00a0 It is a fuel that revs their engines so every new day they stand taller, get bigger, grow wiser.<\/p>\n<p>For others, time is a millstone around the neck.\u00a0 It is a grinding clock and snapping whip that turns what was or could have been extraordinary into a sedentary, mechanical, and passionless existence.<\/p>\n<p>Those, of course, are the extremes.\u00a0 Most &#8211; whether it is people, or companies, or organizations, or brands &#8211; fall somewhere in the middle.<\/p>\n<p>Time is like a lot of things.\u00a0 I figure it falls into one of those &#8220;great slaves&#8221; and &#8220;terrible masters&#8221; categories.<\/p>\n<p>We should all take some time to think about what time is doing to us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>40 years.
